Description: The Aywens Coffee Tamper, distinguished by its striking design, was developed to ensure maximum brewing performance and to prevent taste variations caused by differences in compression ratios, aiming for every coffee to have the same flavor. Technical Specifications Leveling (Macaron) Thanks to its smart contact feature, the steel base automatically contacts the coffee according to the amount of coffee in the portafilter. By leveling the coffee with a rotating motion, it prepares the ground for brewing by distributing it evenly into the portafilter. Tamping The Macaron ring aligns the portafilter from the top and ensures maximum brewing performance by distributing the applied pressure evenly and applying equal force to every point of the coffee. Compression Ratio Thanks to its double-piston adjustable mechanism, it prevents differences arising from different compression ratios by setting the desired pressure level and ensures the stability of the coffee flow time. What is a Double Piston System? Even if there are different grammages of coffee in the portafilter, the first piston, after being placed on the portafilter, closes the gap between the spoon and the coffee and makes contact with the coffee. With a rotating motion, it evenly distributes the coffee into the portafilter, preparing the ground before tamping. The tamping process occurs when the second piston makes contact with the coffee, thus consistently applying pressure.
